The Lithuanian alphabet uses the Latin script supplemented with diacritics and has 32 letters.

In the collation order, the letter 'y' is followeds immediately after the letter 'į' (called i nosinė), because both 'y' and 'į' represent the same long vowel [iː]:

  • A Ą B C Č D E Ę Ė F G H I Į Y J K L M N O P R S Š T U Ų Ū V Z Ž.
  • a ą b c č d e ę ė f g h i į y j k l m n o p r s š t u ų ū v z ž.
