The Alliance of Baltic Countries (ABC) was a briefly mooted foreign policy, trade and defense alliance that was planned to encompass the Baltic States and possibly Finland in late 1927. The plan was soon abandoned due to economic reasons and the fear of annoying the USSR.  A Baltic Union that was a federation including the Baltic States and Scandinavia was also mooded and then abandoned in 1927. The military and defense orientated Baltic Entente treaty was singed in 1935.
